We're Satori Club

The Satori physical Bitcoin project began in 2015 in Japan, when a hardcore Bitcoin enthusiast, a talented designer and a crypto engineer got together, with the goal to launch an easy method of spreading the power of Bitcoin. No wallet needed, just pass it on from hand to hand, to your friends and loved ones. Operating then under the name "Raimu, Inc.", over 50,000 units of the original Satori Coin were made and sold throughout the globe, most notably to Europe, Canada and Australia.

Along with the rise of the Bitcoin value itself, the original Satori Coin's numismatic physical token value has increased 100X, as it originally sold at around a few dollars. Regrettably, the project had to shut down in 2018 due to regulatory tightening. But we are now back at last. The grass roots mission of promoting Satoshi's vision lives on.

Now based in Singapore and with a refreshed name, Satori Club, we're producing new product lines of physical Bitcoins. Same team, same vision, same values.

Starting with the Satori Coin Gi and Chi, we plan to create many more variations of Satori Coin over the years.

Our Vision

We are a team of Bitcoin believers who want to help spread awareness of Bitcoin and make the experience of owning Bitcoin intriguing, beautiful, and simple to understand. The physical act of holding something in your hand can be an important step in sparking curiosity to dig deeper, visualizing models of trust, and asking the question "where does value come from?" There's something special about the feel of holding something in your hand, feeling its weight. Bitcoin, a topic that might feel incredible abstract and complex for beginners, begins to feel a little more real; like something you can trust, and something concrete.

The "Bitcoin experience you can hold in your hand" is at the heart of what we do and every physical coin we make, and we hope that our customers can enjoy triggering these moments of enlightenment when they pass from hand to hand.

The Team

Motonori Kan — "My unexpected journey to Satori Coin began in the 90's when I started a small commercial goods import/export trading business in Japan, where every few years, I literally got whacked by vicious USD/JPY volatility. I quickly came to the realization that being economically naive was a sure path to self destruction so I studied, albeit in an analog style, and read whatever books of economic theme that I could lay my hands on. The astonishing discovery was the Austrian School of Economics but my first impression was, "Hmmm, never heard of it and the main stream media never mentions it so it must be insignificant". But as I read, there were so many elements that I resonated to and it eventually captivated me to dig deeper and guided me to libertarian principles. By then, I was a gold bug and in 2012, I learned of Bitcoin and here I am. Thanks Satoshi and our talented and dedicated team members for allowing me to participate in such an exciting project."

Aya Walraven has led design for Satori Coin since the original Satori Coin designs in 2015 and continues to shape the design of its products today. Passionate about Bitcoin design since 2011, her work spans art, user interaction, and product design and development, including Bitcoin games, the Open Paper Wallet project, a blockchain explorer, and a professional trading interface for Japan's largest cryptocurrency exchange. Her interest in Bitcoin began with hardware, and she remains drawn to the chaos it invites and the creative problems it creates. She believes physical Bitcoin products help people uniquely connect with the technology, and that good design can make Bitcoin feel both trustworthy and exciting.

Hataab Annuar is a Bitcoin advocate with over 10 years in IT and telecom. He designs secure solutions that connect digital and physical crypto worlds. He develops collectible physical Bitcoin items to make crypto easy to hold, gift, and understand, boosting adoption.

Kate U. advocates for Bitcoin as a technology for freedom and peaceful change, promoting it as a learning tool to empower people and help more individuals lead happier, more fulfilling lives. Satori Coin turns that vision into something you can hold—a stunning physical Bitcoin that works as both a thoughtful gift and an onboarding experience. Kate's mission: get more people to truly understand Bitcoin by putting it in their hands.
